Key  Points

  • The present crisis points to a great famine.
  • This great famine is a sign of the Last Days.
  • These “disasters” are the judgment of God on the Western nations because of their wickedness.
  • There is a famine for the Word of God
  • These present times are opportunities for us to be saints

The Signs Of The Last Days

Over the past 2+ years there has been a lot of talk about food shortages, supply chain issues, and recession.  In the midst all of this talk there have also been questions as to whether or not this matter is one of the signs of the Last Days the Lord Jesus Christ spoke of;

“For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be pestilences, and famines, and earthquakes in places:

Now all these are the beginning of sorrows.”

– Matthew 24:7-8

Over the last 100+ years we have witness things that have never been seen before; the industrial revolution, the great apostasy in the church (Vatican II), the days of Noah and Lot rising, and a multitude of various other signs in the heavens and on the earth.  It seems as though each day we are seeing prophecy fulfilled before our very eyes.  And now what we are seeing is the very conditions which are likely to bring about a devastating famine, one that has never been seen before throughout the whole of salvation history.

In this article I want to warn you about the conditions that have been set for this famine of food and for the Word of God.  I also want to encourage you in the faith, to strive for doing the work of the Lord, so that if we do face the food famine, you will not be hindered by fear or suffering from doing the work of the Lord, in feeding people the Word of God.

The 2023 Recession to come

The great panic of 2020 together with political policies from liberals (which made all conditions worse) and world war on the horizon have set the grounds for a great recession to come in this year, in 2023.  As we were entering this year many broadcasters predicted that the year will be hard on everyone, especially those living in poor conditions.

In reality this recession was easily warned of during the panic, on the account of the way things were going back in 2020 through to 2021.  The foolish shut down of the economies throughout the world were the very actions that would help set up a future recession.  This warning was given by a few who were called crazy and reckless (I too was called crazy since I was critical of the shutdown).  But there is more to this recession than just poor decision making by various governments, there is something divine happening.

The recession to come is also the punishment to come to a wickedness immoral society, which in their pride turned from God and toward sodomy, abortion, witchcraft, paganism, and a multitude of other evils.  This is a warning that has been echoed by some preachers and men of God over many years.  I’ve been speaking about of the punishment of God on the Western nation because of their sins for many years and even covered it in an article roughly 2 years ago.

America, in Judgment of God

The recession to come must be taken seriously, both as a punishment of God and as part of the set-up for the great famine to come, the famine spoken of in the Last Days.

The Food Shortage and Supply Chain Crisis

Prior to the great panic of 2020, there were no “real” food shortages and supply chain issues in the Western nations.  The Western nations had mastered feeding great populations through hard work and great ingenuity.  Though the various inventions that took place in the industrial revolution were at a great cost, it succeeded in feeding those nations that explored their potential.

The cost of these revolutions have been felt since its advent, as we have seen the enslavement of families due to convenience and the changing of society by the stripping away of  self sufficiency and independence.  But still the Western nations were capable of feeding their populations and creating a functioning economy.

But as the pride and wickedness grew among the Western nations and as they strayed further and further from God, the table was set for a great punishment for the wickedness of these nations.  Wicked people took control of these economies and now they are doing what all wicked rulers have done throughout history, oppress the people they control.

The panic of 2020 was the event those wicked leaders (the various western governments together with organizations like the World Economic Forum),  could use to more fully enslave the Western nations.  These wicked leaders will use what every wicked leader throughout history has used, energy and food, as a means to control the population and enslave it.

Various people and independent news agencies have researched and reported on these wicked leaders and the way they have used this 2020 panic to enslave the world.  Some have detailed the food shortage and supply chain crisis and linked it to these wicked leaders;

The actions these wicked  governments and organizations have taken have set the table, not only for the current recession, but a great famine.  The economic disaster and famine to come could be, to such a degree, that we may see death on a great scale.  This disaster would cause all to run to these wicked governments and organizations as their savior, which is the point of the creation of the disaster to come.

Though the human elements are there for this great famine to come, there is the divine reality, which we must understand in order to make sense of the situation we are in.  The present and coming disaster is the punishment of God, because the Western nations have abandoned Him.  For in their wickedness these Western nations have aborted their children, opened all doors to sodomy, turned  to witchcraft and paganism, mocked God and those who follow Him, and in doing all of these things and more have, in their pride, rejected his call to repentance.  Seeing this we are left to ask; why would God not judge?

The Famine for the Word of God

The famine for food will not be the only challenge the world will face, for in these Last Days there will be a famine for the Word of God.  For just as the Word of God was lost in the days of the prophets during the era of the divided Kingdom  (II Kings 22), so to will it be lost in the Last Days.

“Behold the days come, saith the Lord, and I will send forth a famine into the land: not a famine of bread, nor a thirst of water; but of hearing the word of the Lord.

And they shall move from sea to sea, and from the north to the east: they shall go about seeking the word of the Lord, and shall not find it.”

– Amos 8:11-12

For in the days of the prophets most of the religious leaders turned to paganism, the doors to sodomy were opened and it became a common practice, and on and on.  God sent prophet after prophet warning of the wickedness, but the people continued in their abominations, shunning the prophets, and forgetting about God.  And so this is how the Word of God was forgotten back in those days.

And so this is how it is happening in our days.  The Western nations have practiced abomination after abomination all under the aid of rebellious wicked religious leaders.  So, just as the Lord and His prophets told us; people be lovers of themselves and not God, they will fill themselves with pride and wickedness practicing all the vices they can for the sake of personal pleasures and gratifications (II Timothy 3:1-5).  They will turn away from truth and to lies following every trend or cult of personality idol placed before them (II Timothy 4:1-4).  Then the love of most will grow cold and hearts will be as stone as hatred grows (Matthew 24:12).  And all of this will lead to the great apostasy and persecution which will fall on the church and any who have a true love for the Lord Jesus Christ (II Thessalonians 2:1-3)

And so this great apostasy and persecution will create the kind of environment wherein the Word of God will be “lost” to the masses who have either rejected Him or have suffered the absense of God’s Word because of the darkening and oppression from a wicked society.

But this is where the saints come in, this is where those who have loved God and kept his Word must speak and shine the light of the Lord Jesus Christ.  For in the same way that pious men found God’s Word and shared it to the King, so to must we share the Word of God to a society which oppresses the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and those who love Him;

“And Helcias the high priest said to Saphan the scribe: I have found the book of the law in the house of the Lord: and Helcias gave the book to Saphan, and he read it.

“And Saphan the scribe told the king, saying: Helcias the priest hath delivered to me a book. And when Saphan had read it before the king,

And the king heard the words of the law of the Lord, he rent his garments.”

– II Kings (IV Kings) 22:8, 10-11

The famine of the Word of God is our opportunity to be as the saints, feeding the Word of God to a society that is starving and in great need.

Saints in the Last Days

We do live in troubling days wherein we have a great need of God’s grace;

“For there shall be then great tribulation, such as hath not been from the beginning of the world until now, neither shall be.

And unless those days had been shortened, no flesh should be saved: but for the sake of the elect those days shall be shortened.”

– Matthew 24:21-22

But in these times we must have faith, a faith that the Lord Jesus Christ will sustain us if we persevere, taking up the cross with a willingness to suffer for His names sake;

“But he that shall persevere to the end, he shall be saved.”

– Matthew 24:13

And so we must turn to the Lord, trusting that the Spirit which God has given to us, will guide and aid us in all persecution and in every trial we will face;

“And I will ask the Father, and he shall give you another Paraclete, that he may abide with you for ever.

The spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it  seeth him not, nor knoweth him: but you shall know him; because he shall abide with you, and shall be in you..”

“But the Paraclete, the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and bring all things to your mind, whatsoever I shall have said to you.”

– John 14:16-17, 26

But most of all, let us love as the Lord Jesus Christ has love, the same love He demonstrated on the cross;

“This is my commandment, that you love one another, as I have loved you.

Greater love than this no man hath, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

– John 15:12-13

Because of the great grace of God and through the power of the Holy Spirit we have no reason to fear or be anxious about anything.  Rather we have been given the great grace to go to Him, who will give us peace in the midst of all of the chaos surrounding us.  We can go to Him in prayer, in meditation, in silence, in song anywhere at anytime.  This is the gift He has given all of us, a gift we can take hold us whenever we are in need.

“Be nothing solicitous (anxious for nothing); but in every thing, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made know to God

And the peace of God, which surpasseth all understanding, keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”

– Philippians 4:6-7

If ever there was a time wherein we could be saints, it is now.  The world is lost in the dark and the Lord Jesus Christ has given us the light.  The world is thirsting for something to drink and the Lord Jesus Christ has given us the waters of life.  The world is starving for something to eat and the Lord Jesus Christ has given us living bread.  The world is hearing shouts of anger and hatred and the Lord Jesus Christ has given us His Holy Words.

Let us go and be Saints in this world, by the grace of God, come what may.

The Grace of the Lord be with you.
